Sacramento Field Trip is Planned!

We are so excited to go on our first (out of town) field trip.  The children are counting down the days to Sacramento.

The date of our trip will be on Wednesday, February 17th.  We will need to meet at Baldwin at 7:45 a.m  for an 8:00 a.m. departure.

Please be sure that your child has their permission form and check into me this week.

We should be back on campus around 4:45 p.m.

It will be a very fun and exciting day!

Please join us for a very important camp meeting night!

Mr. Boyd-Goodrich, camp director of the Point Bonita YMCA, will be here to meet with you about 4th grade camp.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, February 9th, 6:30 p.m., in the school library.

This meeting is for parents only!

We look forward to seeing you then.

Island of the Blue Dolphins--Read aloud

This month room 507 is reading the classic fourth grade book, Island of the Blue Dolphins, by Scott O'Dell.  The students have been swept away with this beautiful story of adventure and survival.  Reading this book aloud to the students, combined with rich discussion, is a terrific way to build a literacy community.  Together we are exploring the unique features of this text, including character development, plot and setting.
