About Me

Hello 5th graders! I can't wait to see what we will accomplish together in Room 606.

I love teaching fifth grade, and I am so excited to be teaching alongside such a strong team. This is my fifth year teaching at John Baldwin. I received my Bachelor's in Family and Human Services and my Master's in Education, both from the University of Oregon. Go Ducks! I grew up in Danville and went to school in this district. I am so glad I had the opportunity to come back to the town I was raised in to teach in such an incredible community.

As a fifth grader, I absolutely loved reading. I was a huge animal lover, and often looked for heartfelt books about the bond between a person and their pet. My writing often revolved around my adventures outside with my two sisters. My favorite topic in Social Studies was studying the Native Americans because I appreciated how well they used our nation's natural resources. I loved learning about fractions in 5th grade, so I hope I can teach all of you to love them as well! Overall, I was a hard working, shy little student who eventually found her voice over many years of a wonderful education in this school district.

In my free time, I enjoy watching Duck football games, baking and cooking, reading books outside, dancing, traveling, going hiking and skiing, and spending time with my friends. Both of my sisters live in this area so I spend as much time with them as I can on the weekends. During breaks, you will often find me in Oregon visiting my friends, parents, and our family dog, Sid.

I am so eager to see what a brilliant combination of minds and personalities we will have in Room 606 this year. I am a teacher who values student choice, independence, and collaboration in the classroom. I work with my class all year to create a strong and positive community of learners. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with you all!
