John Baldwin Elementary School

Meet Your Teacher

Hi!  I am Karen Lepke and I am looking forward to another great year at JB.  I earned my BA in Sociology from the University of Colorado in Boulder.  I then returned home to Los Angeles and began teaching preschool.  This was when my love for working with young children began.  I decided to return to school and earned by Masters Degree in Human Development and my California Teaching Credential.  My first "real" teaching job was working at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Glendale.  I taught kindergarten, first, second, and sixth grade during my nine years with GUSD.  I then took time off to begin my family.  I have two children.   Six years ago I returned to work here in SRVUSD and was fortunate enough to become a part of the John Baldwin staff.  This is an amazing community to work with!
