New Visitor ID System
Posted 8/16/19

This year, all SRUVSD schools are implementing a new computerized visitor pass system to improve security as it relates to visitors on our campus. Operated by our volunteer management system, "Be A Mentor," the new "Sentry, Visitor Pass ID System" will mean that all visitors, including volunteers, must slide a photo ID card into the system to be registered as a visitor before being issued a guest or volunteer pass to go onto our campus. As they have in the past, volunteers need to go the Be A Mentor website and register as a volunteer, then when they swipe their ID at the school site, they will show up as approved in the system. Please contact Barbara in the office if you have questions.

Last year's implementation of the Anonymous Tipline was incredibly successful. We want to remind our community of this great resource, as well as the importance of teaching our students that "if you see something, or know something, say something." The tipline for our school can be accessed through an icon on the homepage of our website. Thank you for your help in shifting our culture where information sharing has become a norm.
